Don’t get tricked by the latest scam developed by unscrupulous shills for the pay day loan and cash advance scum bags. Here is the set up: 2 men and one woman – who poses as a receptionist. Everything is done via cell phone – none of the numbers can be traced.
You get a call from a guy who calls himself “Mr. Brady.” Brady demands an immediate payment via ACH debit (red flag) and threatens to come to your work place and arrest you, etc. This is like “Dog the Bounty Hunter” on steroids. This character rants on and on – calling you and your place of employment. The most recent client had 15 calls to her and her employer within a 2 hour period. “Mr. Brady” then turns the call over to some other dummy who continues the extortion.
They give you “call back” numbers with different area codes (red flag) and they even have a female shill who pretends to be a receptionist. They gave us a fake fax number and the best we could do was trace one of the numbers to New York.
These guys threaten to come to your work place and serve you within the hour unless you pay a certain sum – in this last case it was $350. Then – they go on and on about criminal prosecution and arrest threats – all total BS!
If you get a call from one of these scum bags – call 911 and get a police report filed. Then call us so that we can continue our dialogue with local prosecutors, the Michigan Attorney General’s office and the FBI.
